March/2009 – improvement in harmonization techniques with the application in marine environment surrounding the main island of Laje de Santos.
The region suffered effects of coral bleaching in 1998 and 2001 due to water excess temperature increased.
It also has the occurrences of thermocline in over 10 meters underwater, which had been causing some damage by cold excess (13º C to 15º C).
The biotic level recorded in the recognitions of marine environment were ranging from zero to +30.
